Role overview:
Reporting to the Digital Learning Lead, the L&D Digital Learning Analyst/Apprentice will play a key role in the collection, cleansing, analysis and reporting of learning and workforce development data.
The role is responsible for maintaining high-quality learning data, producing meaningful reports, dashboards and insights, and supporting evidence-based decision making across the organisation. The postholder will use Microsoft Excel, Power Query and other Microsoft 365 tools to transform, validate and analyse data from multiple sources, identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Working closely with Learning & Development and operational teams, the role will support the continuous improvement of reporting processes, data quality, compliance monitoring and learner engagement through effective data management and analysis.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will undertake a relevant apprenticeship qualification in an area such as Data Analytics, People Data, or AI and Data, developing the technical skills, knowledge and experience required for a career in data analytics and digital learning technologies.
The postholder will also support the administration and continuous improvement of digital learning systems and solutions that help colleagues develop the skills and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding care and support services.
Key Responsibilities-
Data & Reporting
· Use Microsoft Excel and Power Query collect, cleanse, validate and analyse learning data from multiple sources.
· Create and maintain reports, dashboards, data models, charts and tracking tools to support organisational decision making.
· Perform data quality checks and investigate anomalies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of learning records.
· Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for managers and stakeholders.
· Analyse learning and workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and insights that support organisational decision-making.
Learning & Development Administration
· Maintain accurate learner records and training data.
· Produce reports and insights on learning activity, compliance training, and learner engagement.
· Support the coordination of training programmes, workshops, webinars, and learning events.
· Monitor apprenticeship progress and maintain relevant documentation.
· Assist with evaluation activities to measure learning effectiveness and impact.
Digital Learning Support
· Support the administration and ongoing management of the Learning Management System (LMS).
· Upload, test, monitor, and update learning resources and online training materials.
· Assist in developing digital learning assets including guides, videos, infographics, and interactive learning content.
· Support learners and managers with access to digital learning platforms and resources.
Continuous Improvement
· Keep up to date with developments in digital learning, learning technologies, and best practices within the Health and Social Care sector.
· Contribute ideas for improving learner engagement and digital learning experiences.
· Support projects aimed at enhancing workforce development and mandatory training compliance.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
· Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
· Strong interest in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Experience working with data sets, spreadsheets or reporting tools.
· Good organisational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
