Painter & Decorator
Location - Surrey Area 
Salary - £30,766.10 (£14.70 Per Hour)
Contract Hours - 40 Hours Per Week
 
Role overview:
Reporting to and supporting the Senior Painter & Decorator, and accountable to Group Property Manager; the post holder will be a member of the Property Team actively assisting with the decorative and the maintenance and development of the Company’s Residential Care Homes, schools and ancillary property stock. The Post holder will be required to work alongside colleagues in a small internal property team as well as external contractors as/when required to deliver both a pro-active and responsive service.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Must have a good attitude and knowledge of trade
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any damage
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns Ensure proper coverage and smooth finish on all painted surfaces
  • Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Support the Maintenance team when called upon
  • Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when necessary  
 
The experience I bring:
  • Working professionally in a Painting and Decorating capacity, or be able to demonstrate suitable personal interest and resultant
  • Skills to execute painting and decorating work to a commercial standard and speed.
  • Ability to support and work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Working with relevant trade-based equipment and tools; including working at height and outdoors in all seasons as required.
