The Role
We are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join our People team and act as a strategic partner to senior leaders across the Kisimul Group.
This role plays a critical part in enabling high‑quality care and education through effective people strategies including the integration of new services into the Kisimul Group.
This is a hands‑on, influential role suited to someone who is confident operating in complex, regulated environments and comfortable balancing strategy with delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic People Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner to leaders across the organisation to align people plans with Kisimul’s strategic objectives.
- Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, organisational design, performance management, engagement, and employee relations.
- Use people insight and data to inform decision‑making, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
Change, Engagement and Culture
- Lead or support people‑related change programmes, including restructures, service growth, organisational transformation and rollout of engagement activities.
- Build trust and engagement across diverse, multi‑site teams, particularly during periods of uncertainty or transition.
- Promote inclusive practices, colleague wellbeing, and positive employee experience.
- Deploy appropriate resources and interventions to bring teams with you through change.
Integration of New Services
- Lead the People workstream for organic growth within your region, and the integration of any new services in alignment with the wider Kisimul model.
- Support people‑related due diligence activities, identifying risks, priorities, and opportunities.
- Manage and advise on consultations, and changes to terms and conditions in line with best practice.
- Embed Kisimul values, policies, and ways of working while sensitively managing cultural integration.
- Support leaders and teams through change with clear communication, coaching, and practical guidance.
People Data, Insight and Evidence‑Based Solutions
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to shape recommendations and deliver sustainable people solutions.
- Analyse people metrics such as labour, recruitment, absence, turnover, engagement, ER trends, and workforce data to identify patterns and translate into action.
- Translate data into clear, compelling narratives for leaders, helping them understand risks, opportunities, and priorities.
- Triangulate people data with operational, financial, quality, and regulatory insight to gain a holistic view.
- Track the impact of interventions and continuously improve based on evidence and outcomes.
Employee Relations Oversight
- Provide regional oversight and guidance of employee relations, offering proactive, solution‑focused guidance on absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases, and capability.
- Coach and develop managers to handle people matters confidently and consistently in line with Kisimul policies.
- Ensure all cases are managed in line with employment law, best practice, and Kisimul policies.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a People Business Partner or People Integration Lead.
- Demonstrable experience integrating new services or teams into a larger organisation (e.g. acquisition, merger, or significant change).
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including TUPE and collective consultation.
- Experience working in a complex, regulated environment (health, social care, education, or similar).
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident, credible communicator with the ability to influence, challenge, and coach.
- Able to manage priorities and deliver outcomes to deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience within specialist education, care, or supporting people with complex needs.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting multi‑site or geographically dispersed services.
This role can also be considered as a fixed term position for the right candidate.
