We are looking for a Workforce Planner responsible for ensuring that the overall capacity and deployment of our workforce resource across the organisation meets the service delivery demand and maximises effectiveness and efficiency.

What you’ll be doing
Teaching and support managers in identifying the workforce resource required for their service / function based on the demand, using a demand and capacity tool
Working collaboratively with service and team managers to design rosters that reflect resource needs to meet service delivery demands
Embedding the new transformation design into operational workforce models
Identifying workforce risks and opportunities
Ensuring effective and productive workforce patterns are in place across the organisation
Acting as a subject matter expert coaching manager at all levels in developing new ways of working and supporting them to identify workforce opportunities
Overseeing all home and education rosters to ensure that there is an effective balance between optimising staffing efficiency and maximising staff satisfaction
Ensuring rosters are completed and available to staff in a timely manner, facilitating a work life balance
Ensuring that rosters are completed in line with applicable working time regulations
What you’ll need
Strong knowledge and previous experience of workforce planning and rostering
Proven ability to demonstrate working experience of applying theory and practice in workforce planning techniques
Demonstrable experience in design and development of workforce planning processes to support services to plan effectively for future workforce needs
Knowledge and delivery of workforce planning training and development for managers
Ability to coach and support managers with workforce planning and rostering effectively
Ability to identify, analyse and propose solutions to manage workforce risks proactively and effectively
Proven experience in a similar capacity within the sector
