NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER – CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE - SWINDERBY

Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for Night Support Workers to join our well-established team at our Children and Young People's residential home, The Old Vicarage, Swinderby, just outside of Lincoln. Working a 2 week fixed rota Week1(M,T,F,S,S) and Week2(W,Th). Hours of work are from 19:30pm to 07:30am. Our approach.


About the position:


As a Night Support Worker, you will join our family and be key in helping children and young people with complex needs. Becoming a support worker is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job.  You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results. What will you be doing:


• Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
• Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
• Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.)
• Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
• Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
• Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
• Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
• Actively contributing to the development of the team
