Calman Colaiste started as a direct result of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the introduction of the Education Health and Care Plans. Kisimul Group developed this provision, which was opened in September 2017, as an outcome of the excellent progress individuals make within Kisimul schools. Kisimul Group are looking to appoint an exceptional leader to take the College to the next level.
Based in Peterborough, the college offers flexible education for young adults. All the young people using the colleges have complex needs including behaviour that may challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.
Currently the College caters for a number of learners, with plans to grow this number in the future as we develop our capacity within the setting.
The successful candidate will be joining Kisimul Group at a very exciting time and would play a pivotal role in developing Calman Colaiste into a service that provides the highest quality care and education. You will have responsibility for all aspects of the education services within the College supported by an established team of education, care professionals and therapists.

You will be qualified and experienced in the field of education with a proven record of successful leadership. You will need to be a highly motivated and an inspirational leader who is knowledgeable in ways to meet the needs of students with SEN. As a leader of continuous improvement for students and staff alike you will relish the opportunity to lead in developing our college provision into becoming a leading provider in its field.
