Part Time Cook

PART TIME COOK - YOUNG PEOPLE'S CARE HOME - ACACIA HALL

We are recruiting for a Part Time Cook to join our young peoples care home Acacia Hall near Lincoln and Market Rasen. 

About the position:

In this role you will support the Senior Cook to prepare and deliver a creative, varied and nutritious menu for our young people.

All food is prepared using fresh ingredients, following agreed menus and taking into account specific dietary requirements.

The kitchen team are passionate about the food they prepare for our young people and are looking for an experienced Cook to work with them to continue to deliver to this high standard.

This role is a unique catering position as there is no requirement to work evenings and weekends. Working hours are between 13.00 - 18.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

 

What would I be doing?

• Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard as set out on the menus.
• Order food from suppliers taking into account menus and current stock levels
• Prepare tea time menu for the evening care staff.
• Maintain food diary ensuring records are kept up to date; recording fridge / freezer temperatures, goods in and cooked items.
• Maintain record of pupils' daily dietary requirements.
• Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to.
