We are recruiting for a Head of Colleague Services, a brand-new role as we go through an exciting period of growth and innovation.
You will be developing and deploying service strategies in support of colleagues, line managers, and leaders. These service strategies deliver the requirements of our policies, procedures, legal and statutory requirements. You will also be building colleague personas and providing solutions and engagement throughout our full colleague lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing
Leading a people team providing defined services across colleague touch points, within standard operating procedures and tiered service levels
Reviewing and modernising the services offered defining and delivering a roadmap to improvement
Co-ordinating the development of policies, procedures and toolkits that are practical, useable and adopted by stakeholders
Providing of expert advice, interpretation and guidance on policies, practices and processes and navigation to meet business goals
Leading the people systems roadmap, ensuring we become more efficient and agile taking all opportunities to automate and digitise, reducing the burden of administration on stakeholders
Following of the organisational design blueprints and reward governance to enable organisation strategy and performance
Building position and post hierarchy, and structure management which supports the management of pay costs
Set up and run the resourcing strategy and service for a fulfilled and diverse workforce
Building current and future trends in the workforce and forecast how this may impact the resourcing strategy, using sector and wider insights to shape resourcing plans
Creating remuneration and benefits approaches which are aligned to current and future organisation needs, budget constraints and market conditions
Develop an employee relations strategy which positively impacts the business and the way people work
Deliver one source of data to drive strategic decision-making
Taking a proactive role within the Senior Leadership Team, stepping in across the peer group to managing the in-year business plan
What you’ll need
Broad experience across the people skills map, built up through completing a number of HR specialist and shared services positions
Building very strong relationships: has a strong track record of credibility in the business and seen as a trusted advisor. Coaches people to get the best outcomes
Track record of making changes happen using change management and project management skills
Thinks and acts commercially: has strong business acumen and commercial awareness to assess reputational, commercial or financial risk, people implications and develop solutions to address
Data analytics: uses strong analytical skills and intuition to analyse data and interpret insights and trends. Uses data to support decision manage and develop optimal products and solutions
HR mastery: strong technical people skills, knowledge and practical application
Experience of working in a People Shared Service or Contact Centre
Successfully worked in a matrixed environment
Solid understanding of compliance legislation and requirement of the CQC and Ofsted
Understanding of the statutory and mandatory learning needs within a Health, Education and Care setting
CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent
