Assistant Educational Psychologist - Kisimul Therapy Department

At Kisimul Group we aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs, including behaviour that may challenge. Kisimul is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults, and expects all staff to share this commitment.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join the organisation as Assistant Educational Psychologists and be a part of our multi-disciplinary team. As an Assistant Educational Psychologist you will be committed to having a proactive approach to developing enabling learning environments for the people we support. You will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred positive behaviour support. Our inclusive way of working aims to make sure that the people we support have a voice so that they can be actively involved in all aspects of their education and care.

We recognise that each and every member of staff has an important role to play in the care of the people we support. It is with their dedication, passion and hard work that we can deliver excellent care and education that will truly benefit the people we support.

About the role

This role will be challenging but rewarding, with the opportunity to have a real impact on improving the lives of the people who use our services.
We are recruiting for Assistant Educational Psychologists to join our Educational Psychology team based in Lincolnshire. You will receive supervision from the Educational Psychologist and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners and report to the Educational Support Manager.

You will provide a service to the young people at our school sites located in Swinderby village and Friesthorpe village. You will support individuals to develop skills to enable them to become more independent and able to live a lifestyle of their choosing.  The role will involve supporting assessment work and implementing interventions under the supervision of the Educational Psychologist. You will have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with young people and every day you will be able to see the impact that your support has on their learning and quality of life.
